Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Phil. 4:4
You may read this and think, “Whoever wrote that doesn’t know what I’m going through.”  In fact, it was written by the apostle Paul from jail.  Even in jail, he could rejoice in the Lord.  That doesn’t mean that he was happy about his circumstances.  It means that he could have joy, knowing that God is in control, that He always is there for us, and that He always loves us.  We may not always be able to rejoice in our circumstances but we can always rejoice in the Lord.
